96 BG heated seats into Forester with basic seats

Featured Replies

Didn't see one directly applicable question thread, and I'd like to be sure. I have a 96 outback with heated seats, and I'd like to put them into my forester.

Furthermore, are there connections from the factory in their respective locations, even in cars not equipped with heated seats? Ford does this, wondering if Subaru did as well.

Hi,

My experience on a '96 subaru Legacy is that they do NOT include the harness, but maybe I didn't look hard enough when I swapped in seats. Not sure on the Forester. Get a FSM/fact. serv. manual for the Forester to view the wiring.

The OB seats MAY sit low in the Forester, but they will bolt in. The OB seats do have a HEight adjustment, which may help.
