Trailing arm compatibility

Featured Replies

Hello, I've searched but I haven't gotten a clear cut answer.

I have a full xt6 rear trailing arm assembly with hubs. Will the whole assembly fit into my 89 gl10 turbo as a drop in?

My plan was to have this set painted and everything then just swap it all at once.

Yes it will but the hubs will not match.

You can swap the 4 lug hubs onto it though.

also check gear ratio's if your swapping rear ends .  Gl-10 will be 3.7, xt6 will be 3.9

That was the plan . ;p

Doing a 5 lug swap plus brake upgrade.

GL-10 and XT6 rear brakes are the same.

One thing though is the bolt hole in the arm may be larger.  You will need whole the XT6 "K" bar/crossmember, or enlarge the mounting holes on the GL-10 bar.

I'm back to confused. I'm swapping an XT6 4WD rear hub for 5 lug. And I'm going to match up an EJ rear set with an adapter ring for interior parking brake.

I wanted to paint up this rear set and do poly bushings and do a swap with what's on my current gl10 turbo when i do the hub swap.

So back to the original question, will this fit without modifying anything?
