August 25, 20178 yr Has anyone got measures for both series.? How much wider is an EA82 than EA81 in the rear end? Would not hurt to compare front tracks too!
August 26, 20178 yr Author Roughly 80 mm wider in the rear end, 70 or 75 seems to be in the increased width of rear trailing arm mounting point on the tubular subframe
August 26, 20178 yr Author Reason is looking at fit rear sway bar from ea82 to ea81 ....looks to be needing some thought and 40 mm cut off each side to start the idea
August 26, 20178 yr the distance between the trailing arm pivots will be more critical to compare. That's the measurment that determines where on the arms the mounts would need to be to keep the swaybar "arms" in line with the trailing arms.
August 26, 20178 yr Author Just what I was thinking. Some clever bracketry be needed to carry this out. Need to chop ends first to even get it in there for thinking time. Thanks. Wondering if I am Robinson Crusoe on this idea attempt?
August 26, 20178 yr It's been done several times. I believe Tony Reig (owner of the red Brumby-turned-BRAT) has an EA82 bar on his Brumby and could show you what needed to be modified.
