August 31, 20178 yr Howdy yall. Wondering if anyone might know what the availability is on the smaller rubber "boot" - the one that the wires run through, cover the socket, and connect to the rear cover? Or if anyone has a slick way of duplicating the function of that piece (please don't say duct tape, please) with another material or thingy...it'd be much appreciated. Thanks
August 31, 20178 yr try car-part.com and just get a whole headlight assembly or look under the items for sale on this site. One of the people who have parts addictions might be able to help.
August 31, 20178 yr Author Thanks fellas. I have the rear covers...just need to replace the grommet that the wires feed through, protect the terminal, and connect to the rear cover. I'll probably have to fab something, cuz the dealer wasn't even able to identify the part.
September 1, 20178 yr Do you mean the connector that attaches to the bulb? Can you post a picture? https://www.dormanproducts.com/p-10715-84790.aspx?year=1995&make=Subaru&model=Legacy&origin=&parttype=Socket%2520-%2520Headlight Edited September 1, 20178 yr by Mike104
September 1, 20178 yr Author This was the only way that I could figure out how to get the photo onto my clipboard... What do you think? http://pin.it/d-Yfx74
September 1, 20178 yr not sure what sizes/dimensions you're dealing with, but it looks to me possibly a baby bottle nipple...either human or livestock. some of those livestock ones are pretty stout, too (leave it to someone in rural arkansas to come up with that idea ) Edited September 1, 20178 yr by thook44
September 1, 20178 yr That's the socket cover, not sure you can buy that part as it is part of the wiring harness. The link above could be a good option
