October 12, 20178 yr I own a 1999 Legacy Limited Outback Wagon. I will be needing to replace a lot of suspension parts, and wondered if "while I am in there"... maybe I can get some better components. I see a lot of requests on LIFTING Subaru vehicles, but I would prefer something that handles really well. The car would still be a normal daily driver type, but prefer to be able to stay stable in curves.Any certain brand or place to shop, without making it an uncomfortable track vehicle?
April 15, 20223 yr Author ANY IDEAS? I only replaced the parts with regular oem stuff. For the 2003 sedan, I really wanted to upgrade stuff. I have only replaced the shocks with original Sachs shocks/struts, but I have bad bushings or something that makes a knock every once in a while. Are there better bushings or control arms that are recommended?
April 15, 20223 yr “Performance” here means “how high do you want to lift it and what size tires you running? Jokes aside - Rallitek and others carry performance parts. Adjustable, coil over, etc. Those aren’t very attractive to the practical off road lifted crowd that dominates here. Super Pro makes bushings. They have some Subaru kits and stiffer base materials.
April 16, 20223 yr you might look around at www.boxer4racing.com . Did a little biz with them years ago, went well. user @traildogck makes some bushings. Don't see him much around this forum, mostly over at www.subaruoutback.org
