Just need to know if a 3.0 engine from a 04 LL Bean automatic will fit a 01 LL Bean automatic. The 01 has a bad 3.0 in it now. If theres no difference i'm good to go. thanks

Just checked car-part.com and saw that 02/03/04 appear to be interchangeable but the 01 engine was listed all by itself. Something is different. Maybe intake, maybe some sensors.  Don't know. 

They're interchangeable, I don't know what that 01 distinction is either, but you can ignore it for swapping engines. 01's occasionally had timing chain noise that was presumably fixed with updated parts, if so you'll be getting that with an 04.
