Broken front spring on 1997 Outback, covered?

Featured Replies

They should cover it. I took my 2005 forester in recently for the control arm recall and they replaced them. If it's a recall then they have to replace it.

Yes - stop in and ask.

You might get turned down due to prior history/accident/non OEM part, etc - but more than likely it should be covered.

Many, if not most, people have never been to a dealer except for recalls, totally normal and not a big deal.

I called Subaru dealer, with vin number they said throttle body and springs had been serviced in a recall.  So no dice on that, the other side I already did with spring/strut, on the side with the broken spring the strut is still goo.d
