Dbearz! Posted October 1, 2018 Share Posted October 1, 2018 I have an 89 loyale thats not turning over. I beleive the starter solonoid failed and im having the whole thing tested. Had a quick question about a plug on my starter. Wonder if its for a relay or something. I have a picture but it wont let me upload it. GeneralDisorder Posted October 1, 2018 Share Posted October 1, 2018 If you have nothing connected to the only "plug" on the starter, that's your problem. That is the solenoid wire activated by the ignition. It needs to be plugged into the spade connector from the car's harness or nothing will happen when you turn the key. Dbearz! Posted October 1, 2018 Author Share Posted October 1, 2018 (edited) The plug tested out fine and i realized what it was for right after i posted lol. It was plugged in its just looking pretty rough and i want to change it out. The starter was as dead as one could be. Ive got a new one rdy to throw in. Thanks for the reply though!
