2000 Impreza OBS Rear Hatch?

Featured Replies

Bad morning, the rear glass shattered in my 2000 Impreza OBS Rear Hatch.  I checked a couple of yards and car-part.com both are saying only 2000 or 2001.

I thought the year range would be larger.  Anyone know?

Thanks,

Larry

Car-part shows 1993-2000 for me, listing for a 1997. It's likely a crash structure that changed in about 2000 causing the part number to change but I'd buy a 1993-2001 as a replacement as long as they would allow return but it should fit

Opposed Forces show a 61700FA000 going to 1997 and 61700FA001 from 1997-2001 and also as the superseded part number

Yep, I believe it's the glass that is different.  When I cleaned my up today to put on some temp plastic. the glass went all the way to the top of the hatch, where the others have the metal upper above the glass.  Thanks for the info.  Larry

Installed a 97 Hatch on my 2000 today.  Worked great, all the electrical plugs joined right up.

I found the rear wiper hose cracked on my 2000 and the 97 about 2" from the body to hatch connection.  Easy fix with the extra tube.

I do have a door Light.  I'll have to look to see if the wiring changed.

Have a good one!  Subaru, plug and play, for the most part.  Sweet!
