Lock all 4 wheels on 2019 Forester

Featured Replies

Just got a base model 2019 Forester without X-Mode. Can I "semi-lock" all 4 wheels (for deep snow or mud) by turning off traction control like I do in my 2016 Outback?

Thanks,

John

No. Turning off traction control will actually ensure you just have 2 full open diffs.  Whichever wheel has less traction, will get all the power.

Now, you WILL be better able to give it full throttle power to the wheels, but again, without X-mode or traction on you will have basic open diffs.
