I have a 96 Brighton wagon, the rear windshield wiper doesn't work, also the fluid for front one.  These aren't connected right?  How do professionals analyze fuses, with flashlight? I don't have the owners manual.  

Both are controlled by Fuse No. 2 in the fuse panel under the dash.

I'll see if I can find the fuse description.

I use a test light. The ATO and Mini fuses have test points on top of it on each side of the amp rating. Light on one side, not the other - open fuse. Light on both sides - good fuse.

Ok, thanks a lot for the recommendations.  I don't have a bright light but will look for number two.  

I checked out the fuses, one was burned out that works the front wipers and rear water squirt; the front water squirt and rear wiper are not working.  

rear wiper has the potential to be seized up.. if it is not used regularly the shaft will corrode in the housing and has to be completely disassembled to free it up again... not a super hard job to do, but rather time consuming with about a 50% chance of getting it working again (as long as the motor isnt burned out).

for the front washer.. check that there is enough fluid in washer fluid bottle.. also check the wiring going to the little pump attached to the bottle. If you have a test light or volt meter, get a helper to push the button and make sure power is getting to the pump. If that checks out ok, then you may need to replace the pump.

Thanks for the links and information.  I don't want to have to print out another ream of data, my brain cells are taxed already.  But I will try to look at the online information if my mental attention permits.
