I need to know if the starter for the manual transmission, is different than the automatic one. It is an ea71.

Yes they are. Longer snout on the automatic. 

You need one ? I have a reman Manual that I won’t need. Send me a message thru the board if interested. 

 

Probably have more than one but the one that’s out and handy has an ND tag on it with the numbers 028000 297 and the tag is green and silver.
