Throttle Body Noise

Featured Replies

Hello Soob Enthusiasts,

My 2012 Outback 2.5i has this noise upon quick pumps of the throttle.

As seen in the video below, it doesnt happen with gentle revv, just quick pumps.

I figure it could be something like hose clamps not tight enough or something along those lines, but before i tear apart the intake manifold I want to see what you all have to say about it.

On top of this, I just pulled a P1518 code off the car, but the code is for the starter switch I believe.

Anyways, any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Jason

P.S. Heres a link to the video below,

It's a drive by wire throttle body. You are just hearing the electric motor, transmission, and airflow. That's normal.
