Tried MMO, Loyale still ticks

Featured Replies

The 1992 Loyale motor has only 100K miles but ticks like a sewing machine. I shall hereby now offically name it Zinger .

I put in half a quarter of MMO oil, drove for 150 miles and the darn thing is still a Zinger. Maybe this is its destiny.

And still loosing lots of oil, at least it gets a good mileage.

Where is it losing oil from?

The oil pump gaskets are shot. Thats probably where the leak is and almost definitely the cause of the tickin.

MMO will only work if the ticking is caused by crap build up.

new oil pump, seals, valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, seafoam treatment and it won't tick much or leak much.
