brus brother
90 Loyale. I get a brake squeal out of the front left wheel when braking but not when braking while in reverse. What gives?
MorganM
Pull the wheel off and find out Prolly just the indicator touching the rotor. That indicates your pads are low. Wont know tilll ya look
brus brother
nope, the pads have about 3/4 meat left
MorganM
But was the indicator clip rubbing? Sometimes when pads get put on the indicator thingy doesnt get adjusted properly or at all. Then it squeals even tho there is plenty of pad left. Look on the disc itself for signs of metal on metal wear. Perhaps you mgiht see where its rubbing and determine the cuase. Grab and shake everything good. Rotor solid? Calipber on tight? Strut and kuckle seated firmly? Pads cliped in and not dragging on the rotor? brus brother
OK, so make it hard on me. I thought I could get a can of "Squeal No More" and pour it on the left front fender and ... tada! I'll follow your check list. Back to the original question, why doesn't it squeal when braking in reverse?
the_bard
... can of "Squeal No More" ... When you find a can of that, lemme know, ok? Hope they make "Rust No More", too. Preferably in an aerosol can
MorganM
Back to the original question, why doesn't it squeal when braking in reverse? That's what first led me to think the little indicator tab. !_!
