water pump intake tube? Help

Featured Replies

My timing belt/seals/water pump project has gone well with the help of this board, but now I am stuck again. When I pulled the thing apart I found a 2 inch piece of 25mm rubber hose stuck between the water pump and the water intake tube, now I see why. The old water pump had a bunch of pea size gouges in the walls of the port the intake tube fits into, OK so I am thinking there was trouble getting the tube out or what I don't know. On reassambly I find that the tube just bearly touches the inside of the port when the mounting bolt is installed. I don't want to repeat the performance of the mechs that worked before me so I guess I need a new tube. Can anyone tell me where I can find a good intake tube.
