Does anyone know the gear ratios for the 5 spd Dual Range Full time 4WD tranny that came standard in the Subaru RX?

I know that's the final drive, but what are the gear ratios themselves?

 

Oh and I'm kinda a n00b... what does "dual range" refer to?

They are:

 

1: 3.545

2: 2.111

3: 1.448

4: 1.088

5: 0.871

R: 3.416

Low: 1.196

Final: 3.70

dual range is the term for 4wd. There are two ranges of 4wd. There is 4-high (1:1 ratio) and 4-low which is anywhere from 6:1 for rock crawlers to like 1.5:1.

in the RX's case its 1.196:1. the N/A D/R are 1.592 or 1.596 or so.
