Cant find a thermoswitch for a 86 Brat from 1stsubaruparts or subaruparts.com.. Any other names for this part??? Joe

hi saw your post, I believe i saw a part named that on www.shopspeople.com. I was loking for a waterpump for my 1987 subaru when I saw it, hope i'm right. I am still having trouble finding answers to my waterpump thing, i can't seem to find it in the engine, just replace thermostat and that didn't solve the problem. if you know anywhere i can find help in replacing waterpumps without buying the manual. Don't have time just now, need to fix car in the am. J. Domingo frustrated in Tahoe

Try part number 783052081 (Thermo Switch Assy) and 682146010 (Packing Thermo Sw).

Well wouldnt the Thermosensor be the sending unit to the gauge in the dash and not the thermo switch???

 

 

Also what would the Thermo Packing be for?????

I punched in the part number at 1stsubaruparts.com and this is what I got:
