How to flush coolant passages in block?

I just bought a new radiator and i want to flush the whole system when i install it into my brumby. Should i take out the two drain plugs on the bottom of the heads and t into the heater core lines with the garden hose?

 

Could someone explain howto flush the the cooling passages, as i cant find any good posts through the search.
