August 20, 200421 yr Thanks for all your sympathies. Now I need an ignition switch with keys for an 88 GL10. does anyone know of deals on igniton lock kits anywhere either new or used with keys.
August 20, 200421 yr I found that its just easier to go to the wrecking yard and find one with keys. Take the whole column and put your wheel and plastic back on it.
August 20, 200421 yr Hey Jim, check with your local auto parts house, they are one of those "in common" parts. I just did a Toyota and S10, right at $30 for each of them. Just for refrence, the ignition switch is what goes in behind the key cylinder. Glad you got it back. Tim
August 21, 200421 yr You can get a switch and lock cylinder from a junk yard. Have your favourite locksmith re-key the cylinder to match the door keys.
August 21, 200421 yr Author I went to look at the Subaru last night. My buddies wife, made it look like new. I think the locks are ok as someone just jimmied them and didnt wreck them
