  1. Well Brett came over and picked up the T-coupe. I hope he fairs well getting it back. Now I need to get rid of Ruzzilla. This will probably be best suited as a parts car for a lifted rig as everything needed is there, but the body has pretty much given up the ghost to cancer. I'm open to offers if your willing to come get it. Email me if you are serious and want more info. Thanks, Tim PS the Brat fell through, so I have no need for parts for a lifted car.
  2. http://s363.photobucket.com/albums/oo73/chef_tim/Ruzilla/Past%20Subbies/ Photobucket link to a few pictures...
  3. It is a complete, running 84 T-Coupe, but it does need some love and work. Body is mostly solid except for the rockers. Comes with a spare set of H alloys too. It would need to be trailered as I would not consider it road worthy at this point. Price is low so It will go to a good home!!!
  4. Yes it is, I just haven't done a thing with it and it needs to be put to good use.
  5. Nope, N/A GL. I think 84 or 85. Just gave it the quick once over. I'm going to swap over all the stuff from Ruzilla, my 86 hatch-brat.
  6. In my moment of ecstasy, I forgot How about it Mick, you need a T-coupe?
  7. I just went and looked a Brat that I'm going to snag. Bad thing is I need to make some room for it. That is good news for one of you lucky sods!! I know I'm up in no mans land, but I would be willing to take $200 for a complete Tcoup, sans the new seats that I'll be putting in the new Brat. I really want this thing to go to a good home, like someone here, give me a shout at; dtwenzel(@)sio.midco.net and we can discuss details. Thanks, Tim
  8. Sorry to dig up an old thread but I'm leaning toward the Altimax's for my 05 Outback. I have Triple Treads on my wife's 10 Forester (they were on our 08 Outback first) and they are all they were advertised to be including loud. I had Traction T/As on my 97 Outback and they were a great tyre for the price and on a 97 outback who cares about noisy or not . I'm 95% to the Altimax's so If anyone else has any more experience with them I'd love to hear from you. Thanks, Tim
  9. Thanks for the tip brus. I picked it up on Saturday and dropped it off at a local shop for 100k service. Dropped just about another $900 on it but at this point I'm very comfortable that it will be good for another 100k
  10. Sorry Dave probably not gonna drive half way across the country for another Subby show :-p
  11. Just drove 150 miles to a dealership in MN to buy an '05 Outback. This will replace my current '97....:clap:
  12. Nice Brat, is that a Rott in the background of the pic in the snow?
  13. Hey Kurt, not quite MN but still around once in awhile.
  14. My suggestion, keep it out of any road salt/sand. There just aren't many left in that shape and it would be a shame to see it get ate up in front of your eyes. Beautiful!!!
  15. I'm wondering if the tranny problem might not be a clutch problem?? Welcome to the USMB, if you are a neat freak I suggest you stay away from any thread with the word mud in it, could be hard on you...
  16. Is CCR still doing trannies? Might be a cheaper alternative then what the dealership will charge you for a new one. www.ccrengines.com
  17. Hey Austin, do you have any idea where Wall Drug really is...
  18. If you haven't completely committed to the car DITCH IT, and quick. Sounds like a basket case and that would not be good for your first car. GD is as usual spot on. If you've already purchased the car, get it out of the dealership. Tyres, will cost a lot less from tirerack.com. an alignment from a small independent shop will be half or better the the dealership. Good luck and welcome to the friendly side of Subbies!!
  19. Ha Ha, I just opened up my FB and Eric is on the add friends list. I'm not sure I have what it takes to get one of the coveted 20 friends spots and my self esteem is so fragile I don't think I'd be able to handle the rejection if I didn't
  20. My daily driver is a 97 OBW, my wife just got a '10 Forester and i have an 84 GL T-coupe and a lifted 86 hatch for projects. Believe me it is a sickness, some times it even requires a 12 step program...LOL
  21. Hard to believe you can still find them in that shape. It's beautiful to see one with out rust . Welcome to the USMB!!
  22. That's a beauty!! Driving it in the winter will have it rusted through n a couple of years though. I'm just North of SF and wouldn't mind seeing it in person some time. Later, Tim
  23. I can't belive it another person from Sioux Falls!!! You should definately be able to go abit faster then that, don't know why you'd want to in an 86 GL:lol:. There is also the option of a Weber swap that would get you a bit more power but kill your milage.
