  1. Chances are good you will split the stainless steel you're trying to flair. Be very careful. Tim
  2. That makes me feel funny . Any chance you could throw in a body shot or two?? Later, Tim
  3. Somebody has to cook bacon and eggs in the morning :slobber:
  4. I can't commit one way or the other yet. We have always had a great time there. I'll see what work has instore for me this summer and get back to this thread. Later, Tim
  5. At about 25 seconds in, I was starting to worry about a piston coming out through the fender . Winding down kinda sounds like a jet shutting down. All very cool!!!!
  6. You sick b%#!*#d, that's like asking for kiddy porn or something, just wrong, sick and wrong
  7. I wouldn't worry as much about quality as I would sending my credit card info to three guys in China, might be the new Nigeria
  8. MERRY CHRISTMAS 08!!! Left to right: Socks, Tess, Max
  9. Looks like we did the same thing with stock lights. Unfortunately, unless you tie off to a tree or something, your winch is just going to pull you into the Hummer .
  10. Not one to be left out of a "picture thread".... Here is me and my baby boy Max PS Monstaru, very Clint Eastwoodish.....
  11. Not an EA82, but still something to think about......... 6" C channel with 3/4"/2" tube right into the sub frame!!! 7500lb winch where the radiator used to be. Rubber bumpers are the same ones for the back of semi trailers. Way under $100 including D-rings, bumpers and light guards. Oh yeah, factory lights from the old stock bumper. Later, Tim
  12. Funny, someone recently offered me a "Subby in a box". Welcome, Tim
  13. 86 Hatch = RUZILLA 87 Wagon = DRTYGRL 97 Outback = CRAKHED 06 WRX = RUBY 08 Outback = ???
  14. I feel sorry for the poor sap that buys the Baja from the Honda dealer. First time he hits the mountains it will start all over with someone else :-\ Tim
  15. Did you give CCR a call?? I'd get a price from them for a motor. It just seems to make more sense to me to replace the whole motor, especially with that kind of milage. What ever you decide, wish you the best with it. Tim
  16. IIRC unless you are lifted, you will need the short K&N filter. I have found that the cable holder for the Weber is a great way to keep the cable in the correct position.
  17. Good on ya Connie  For the Weber, if tuning and timeing don't get it there is an anti-diesel kit that you can put on it. What did you guys torque the pressure plate bolts to??? The FSM calls for someting like 12-15 flb, if you tighten them more it pulls the fingers in and the clutch will slip. Later, tim
  18. I really don't find myself looking back and "missing" much of anything. I do have fond memories of days gone by, but as life goes forward it just keeps getting better, making new memories. Later, Tim
  19. 2008 Outback wagon A/T 3800 miles. Wife gets 22.5, I get 25. Huge difference in how the car is driven. I have a new game I play with the trip computer, I'm trying to get high score on milage. Not like the old game I used to play in the WRX, where high score was in the speedo 1997 Outback wagon 2.5 A/T 186,000. This is a great story. Car has got 20mpg consistantly since we've owned it. I did a full brake job and now it is getting 23mpg, wish I could figure out how much fuel/money I wasted Lifted riggs are in the mid to high teens. Tim
  20. Bought my '97 Outback with a bad HG 142,000 Automatic Replaced with a CCR reman, 44,000 and not a peep:burnout: The engine I replaced is assumed to be original Tim
  21. Do you mean P215/70/15??? If so, take them back for the right ones. Sorry, just noticed it was the 60 vs 70. Still take'm back!!!
  22. PM me your price for the Struts. I've been thinking about getting them for my 97. I'll be gone for the next week but if you still have them I've get back to you then. Later, tim
  23. I don't know why I didn't think of that. The DS was turning, but it never occuered to me to hold it and then the wheels would turn:rolleyes: . I'm pretty sure the '70s are really starting to catch up with me
  24. I just did the standard, start from the furthest from the master cylinder and work around. My wife does the pump the pedal and I open the bleeder screw, she holds it down until I tell her "pump it up". I did them both until there was no more ait in the flow, and then went back and then did it again. Later, Tim
