  1. Trying to help a buddy out, car is about a 92 leggo wagon. He says when he first starts it up the ADW "power" light on the dash flashes for a few seconds. Sounds to me like it is throwing a code. Sound about right to the rest of you? I think if he stops at the ACC possision it should give him the full code. Long=10s and short = 1s, right? Thanks, Tim
  2. Give the U-joints a wiggle too. Not a real common problem with Subs but they do wear out.
  3. Welcome fellow dog hauler!! I have four Rotts I put into my 97 Outback, they love going for rides!!
  4. I used the 3M kit ($13 from Amazon) and it was amazing:eek: Mine came out like they were new lenses.
  5. If you think you're seeing a lot of Subbies now, just wait till you pick up the Subby wave. It's a very tight community, welcome to it!!
  6. That just gave me "butterflies" in my tummy :slobber:
  7. I replaced mine with Subaru remans. so far so good. I did the rebuild thging and it lasted less then six months.
  8. Funny you mention a pop-up, that is what we will be replacing. We will be selling it in the spring. I'll try and remember to drop you a line about it when we do. The pop-up towed great behind the 97.
  9. As usual a great wealth of knowledge and experiance!! We have also concidered one other option (it was in fact our initial first choose) and that is a 16 foot Scamp with a weight of about 16-1800lb. I really think that will be our best option at this point
  10. We are down to two options for a new camper, the Cikira Classic Cruiser FB18 or the R-POD RP177. We like the Cikira better, it has a lot more storage, a friendlier lay-out BUT it weighs apx 2800lb but with a double axle has a 240lb tongue weight. our price $13,500 The R-pod is just cool. It has a small slid-out for the kitchen, only weighs 2300lb but with a single axle has a 232lb tongue weight. The interior storage is also very sparse and the shower barely fits me. Our price $11,500 Initially this will be pulled with my 97 Outback, with a brake controller. but will probably end up being pulled with the 08 Outback again, with a brake controller. To me the biggest limiting factor is the extra 500lb, which puts the Cikira over the rated weight for both cars. Comments, suggestions welcome. No pics 'cause I know you all know how to use Google. Thanks, Tim
  11. Hey Doc, I'm on the other side of the state, but I have imploded a few mines in the hills. I for one would love to spend some time wheeling in the hills, unfortunately I don't get to that side very often. Welcome to the USMB. Tim
  12. Not sure how you mean rated. They were a suggestion on Tirerack.com. I bought both sets of tires there.
  13. Put a set of GY Triple Treads on my wifes 08 OBW last year. So far they have lived up to their reputation. They are not cheap, but for my wifes safety it was money well spent. I just put Traction T/As on my 97 OBW and again, I haven't been disapointed. I drive in all types of weather here in SD, but have never needed snow tires as the roads get cleared pretty quickly.
  14. Had the OEM wipers on the 08 OBW replaced under warranty. Those lasted, well, they didn't . I put on Rain-X weather Beaters on it and so far they have been great. We are just getting into winter so I'll see how they do in the real nasty stuff.
  15. I just put Traction T/As on my OBW, got mine from Tirerack.com. I don't have a bunch of miles on them but they're rated at 60k. The wife's OBW has Goodyear Assurance Triple treads, 80K tire. Incredible tread technology but a LOT more money.
  16. Hi Jim, I haven't any idea. the brakes on my out back didn't seen to be to complicated so you might just be able to pull the tyre and see where it is. Later, Tim

  17. Hey Brian, How's it going?? I had a deal with Mick to sell him my T coupe but he had to back out to fix his new house. He told me you might be interested in it, and I would give you the same price, $500. I have the pics I sent to Mick if you would like to see them shoot me an Email. Thanks, Tim

  18. I was a 12B, but I got smart and joined the Air Guard . I will be doing my annual training with Security Forces, lots of fun with out the day to day job of being a cop. Later, Tim PS I am in a food service AFSC in the ANG.
  19. I will be in Rapid City for training in Aug. I might have to get ahold of him. Who would have though in Box Elder....LOL. Thanks for the tip. Are you in SD??? Tim
  20. On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate the "pucker Factor" of hitting a moose?? . Glad you're okay!!!
  21. My first soob was an 84 2wd "Sport Wagon". I traded a washer and dry for it, and they didn't belong to me either. Just got the title for my 84 T-coupe, Bill gave it to me but I gave his daughter $20 just so some money changed hands. Can't tell you how many have come and gone that some one just told me to "come and get it"
