PeterD
as you may already have noticed im in the process of getting all the problems figured out on my car today. or at least get pointed in the right direction. sorry if im asking for to much help but im not to good at finding problems, i can fix them but finding them is the problem this afternoon i was coming to a stopsign in my neighborhood and the rear tires locked up on me. all week it has felt as if the front brakes are doing nothing but now its raining and when push hard on the pedal the rear tires skid. this isn't good. i checked the pads and calapers but didn't see anything wrong. what are signs of a bad calaper, how easy should pusing that calaper piston in be. i will try and find my problem but help would be greatly apreciated. thanks all for the help you may have. Turbone
Do you have rear disc brakes or drums? If they are drum brakes, they can be adjusted. There is a square peg on the bottom of the drum that can be turned to push the brake shoes out. When they hit the drum, back them off just a hair. If you have rear discs, then you may need to bleed the brakes. Make sure you have good pads all the way around.
