After some research I have found that the adjustable struts came on 85 and 86 wagons. Are those the only years. I wanted to raise the front of my wagon about an inch cause its lower in the front. I know it will decrease travel if I crank the struts down but thats ok. Will this work?

85-86 D/R wagons are the only one I KNOW they came on.

 

when cranked all the way up, the struts are about the same length as the later single position 4wd struts.

 

Is it possible someone replaced the front struts on your car and accidentally used the 2wd sedan struts.. or maybe even XT struts, which are even lower.?
