my boss at work told me today that turbos have different cv axles in them that a SPFI or a N/A ea82. I remember seeing something about 23 and 25 tooth splines and I wanted to get an answer. Is there a difference and will a turbo axle work in my n/a?

turbos use axles with a 25 spline doj and n/a use 23 spline doj. i've heard that turbos with a 3 speed auto use 23 spline, but not positive on that one

the difference is not just in the spline count but also the CV axle joint is wider (more strength) on the turbo..A good parts store should tell you exactly what you need ...axles from my 4wdr. manual and 2wdr auto would not fit on the 2wdr.auto turbo
