October 5, 200421 yr hey everyone, I just bought a 98 impreza and its factory cd player worked just fine for about 2 days and then quit. I haven't been able to get it to work since. The stereo/radio still works just not the cd player? any ideas

The stereo/radio still works just not the cd player? any ideas This is a seperate single CD player that is mounted directly underneath the Radio? I beilive that was all they offered back then, but I'm not sure. If so, it is a seperate unit that is connected by a cable. The cable may have come loose from someone just putting back in the factory stuff to sell the car. Keith
October 6, 200421 yr Author so get this, My battery died and I had to get someone to jump me and after that,,, It just started working??????? whats the deal with that? is it my battery?
October 6, 200421 yr Chances are you just reset a circuit that wasn't working...like the ECU (to clear codes) it needed to be drained.
