October 23, 200421 yr i think i remember someone saying that newer style Subaru strut tops were the same as EA82 cars...is this true?? we've had 2 stock strut mounts come apart on our ice racer. Both...the rubber separated from the metal, and then ended up dropping right out the bottom and were in the fender well. I don't see people with Imprezas and wrx's having this problem. What fits?? i'm looking into getting some GC8 or Group N strut mounts. As they need to look stock on the car as were running production.
October 23, 200421 yr I havent seen any people with Imp's and WRX's ice racing either I'm pretty sure you will need to do a 5 lug swap if you want to use the struts and stuff from a Impreza.

I'm building a 1985 Subaru RX for Performance Rallying. I'm worried about them coming apart from the beating they take while rallying. I just want to replace the Strut Tops (mounts...the rubber/metal mount with 3 bolts) I already have a custom built bilstien coil-over set-up in the works.
