I have recently acquired a 1985 turbo wagon...I have been considering installing a 2.2 or 2.5 engine if it can be done with out completely changing the character of the car. I really love the balance and handling of 4WD Subaru wagons and only wish to be able to increase power output. Any advise here would be appreciated.

Use the search function and look up performance mods. Alot of hp can be had for little $ and not too much effort compared to full motor swap. how much poweer do you want? another 50 is possible with a bit of work.

so where exactly is northwest washington... i mean that kinda covers alot of ground right?
