  1. If you'd rather not use additives, you could try using a full synthetic oil next oil change. It will take a few days of driving around before you notice a difference. It has resolved many lifter noises for us at the shop where I work. Good luck
  2. I believe you'll find he fuel pump relay to be at fault. Good luck.
  3. The pistons on the front calipers have a ratcheting screw mechanism built in to them. If the ratchet doesn't work the front brakes will not self adjust and your brake pedal will not feel right.
  4. I have recently acquired a 1985 turbo wagon...I have been considering installing a 2.2 or 2.5 engine if it can be done with out completely changing the character of the car. I really love the balance and handling of 4WD Subaru wagons and only wish to be able to increase power output. Any advise here would be appreciated. Thanx in advance...Alex
  5. I've been reading all these posts about this rythmic "hesitaion" while the turbo is kicked in because I have just aquired a 1985 turbo wagon and it does the same thing (it is very irritating). I have had no time whatsoever to go after it, but I was under the impression that it was the result of the waste gate oppening and closeing. What do you think? I've been planning on persuing this line of thought by monitoring manifold pressure at waste gate hose connection.
  6. Hi....The kit you are interested in will work for you if the turbine blades and the houseing are in good shape. Be extremely carefull or you could end up with an out of balance unit. There is an alternative to the kit you show, and that is to buy a cartridge for your unit (only reuse the houseing). Good luck
