I keepm having problems with my throttle response, there seems to be like a 5-8 second delay on my 5-speed 81 GL, I just put new spark plugs, wires, and did a complete oil change :-\ there is still a delay! help please

Yes, l have experienced the same problems with these carbs with an 82 wagon and an 87 Brat. l found that changing the accelerator pump made no difference, the problem appears to be overall carb wear and the cure is to throw the offending item as far as you can and fit a Weber 32/36 DGEV.

If your car is correctly tuned and this problem remains check the output from the fuel pump, these also have been known to play up, hope this helps.
