I found one in the local boneyard but its a big fat cow. Has anybody had success in running one of these? Its almost as big as the radiator. Wasnt sure if there was room to shove it where the spare tire goes.

wont fit, unless you put if up front. then you get more problems to sort out. but those intercoolers flow relatively well for stock units, and they are good for 20 lbs all day long.

I took one out of a Volvo at the junkyard and walked to the subaru lineup. The I/C WAS the same size of a Legacy radiator, and it looked like alot of fabrication and fancy hose-work would be needed to get it to work right.

 

Your probably better off with something alot smaller, like a Saab or Starion I/C.

ya, or a for probe/mazda fmic, they are all aluminum.
