Took the new "old" 96 obw for a road trip

Featured Replies

drove the new to us 96 obw 900 miles in 4 days and had zero issues. It turned over 160k on the trip and drove like a champ the whole time. I did notice a little vibration around 70 mph that didnt feel like a tire so maybe I got a u-joint going out or something??? not bad vibs but noticeable.

That is awsome!! I have owned a lot of subaru's I like my 96 best of any of them.

That's great! We took our "new to us" 96 Legacy L Wagon with 120K miles on a 4000 mile trip around the US and Canadian Rockies this past August! Ran great, especially on gravel/dirt logging roads. Only prob was the lack of power on some big hills at highway speeds - turning off the AC helped a bit......
