November 21, 200421 yr I have recently installed a short ram intake on my 04 wrx. Is there any chance of this doing any damage to the car, in any way?
November 21, 200421 yr Main concern would be the quality of the filter. Do you have a photo of your own installation or a similar one?
November 21, 200421 yr From what I have seen, Injen products are good and well thought-out. The only fear related to some of the cold-air-intakes is that it places the filter too far forward and in particular too low down, so that water ingestion can become a problem. If you have a short ram, then that does not apply in any way. Enjoy your intake!
November 22, 200421 yr I'm a glad owner of a 02 WRX & thought about putting on an intake. I've heard many people advise otherwise. Do you notice anything different besides sound? BTW, you won't do any damage to your new car, but when you clean/oil the filter don't oil it too much.
November 22, 200421 yr WRX's don't seem to really respond to intakes. The stock airbox is good enough for the STI, so it must not be much of a restriction!
