December 13, 200421 yr i found a awd a/t legacy wagon with 213,000 miles ,some rust on fenders, alittle on back wheel wells, new tires, new front / back brakes, new fan belt, timming belt, water pump, oil leak fixed, headgasket , ac works, all drive axles good, exhaust is the only thing i saw needing replaced soon, he wants 1500 bucks , is it worth it ?
December 13, 200421 yr Not to me, it wouldn't be. Especially in the rust belt. I vote you keep looking, for $1,500 you should be able to get a pretty good 'no issues' Subaru.
December 14, 200421 yr I agree with MT, you should be able to get something in the low 100k mile range with a little rust and no major issues for $1500.
December 14, 200421 yr I paid $700.00 for my 90 legacy AWD Auto wagon with 200K miles on it. It needed a battery, 2 axles, and a fuel injector. I have put 40K on it since. Talk them down if you can. That is pretty high. Oh yeah..I just bout a 93 legacy AWD wagon with 30K on it for $1000.00 The deals are out there...keep looking.
