Replace NA air filter with EFi air filter setup????

Hey Guys...

I was wondering if there would be any performance improvements to my NA sube if I removed the current air filter housing (the big oval element holder) and replaced it with an air filter box and pipework from a fuel injected or turbo'd car as I assume that this setup would be less restrictive

i would not bet on it. If you go that route you may as well get a pipercross style intake.

What is a pipercross?

 

The general idea that i had was,... does the oval air filter setup have any disadvantages over the style of air intake the efi versions use,.. like is one any better than the other as far as perfomance goes?
