hello to all!

i wanted to hear your expert opinion on the issue i've had with my 97ob

this morning i tried to get in and the alarm would not work so i opened the door with the key and tried to start the car. it was dead. i checked the fuses, replaced the battery and it's still dead. looks like the power was cut off completely. not even the lights inside the cabin, horn, ignition.... nothing....

tried to call dealers and they could not tell me what the reason could be. i also can't locate the ecu unit to check if it blew off.

any ideal???

p.s. thanks in advance

What about the main fusable link? It is in the main fuse relay box. It is the black wire with a material kind of coating that makes un upside down "U".

The ECU is under the carpet where your feet are if you are sitting in the passenger seat. Unlikely IMHO that it went bad.

BTW this is my opinion but I am in no way an expert :-)

Checked all the fuses including the fuses under the hood right?

Make sure the battery cables are clean and tight. The wife called one day, said the car would not start. I had a new battery in it. Anyway to make a long story short, the positive cable was a little loose and that was an easy fix.
