WJM
No. In 1987 SUBARU changed the steering wheel stuff slightly...enough that the steering wheel WILL still bolt on...but the horn mechanism wont work. I like the 85 stuff better than the 89 one...and i tried to swap...horn never worked. :-\

Qman
It will bolt up. I believe you just have to tweek the horn contacts to align with the other wheel. Similar to installing a Momo or Nardi on the GL/Loayale series cars. I could be wrong but it makes sense to me.
WJM
I would either buy that one on ebay and try to make it work...or find one in a junkyard if you really want it that badly. I never really tried to make the horn work...i was happy with just the wheel...since it was in a race car.
WoodsWagon
That wheel looks like the one off my 86 3-door, except that one looks like it has cruise control buttons. I swapped my wheel onto my 92 loyale, and it works fine. Horn works too. The wheel is a bit thinner than the one that came on the car, and has the radius bars in a more out of the way place. The wheel is more flexible, so hitting bumps with your hand at 12 o'clock will make the wheel flex forward a bit.
