91' loyale man
Okay this is a hard one to explain! bear with me please. I have recently been having problems with my idle, whenever the car idle's high the battery goes out and the car dies. Before the car was only doing this when I turned the wheel all the way to the left or the right and all the red indicater lights would go on then the battery gauge whould read a lower voltage. Im thinking it possibly could be the alternater but it seems to be working fine or even a faulty battery. I recently change the alt/power steering belt thinking it would help but to no avail, any pointers. THe check engine light will also go on when the car is stoped everyonce in a while and the rpm's will go from 900 to 1000 very quickly(the car is 91 loyale). Ross
Have the diode bridge in the alternator checked by an auto electrician - alternating current in your electrical system can do some weird things.
91' loyale man
does anyone think there is a possibility of it being a battery problem?
