  1. I noticed that I had a blown fuse in my spfi and the fuse was a higher amp then it was meant to be. Is this a going to have any effect on my car and is there anything I should check?
  2. yeah, its the heater fan I am speaking of as far as i know the radiator fan is working. The thing is though its doing it again yet not as bad. I found that there was a higher fuse in my spfi that wasent supposed to be there and it was blown so i replaced it with a 15. This seemed to make it work alot more smoothly. Do you or anyone else know what the spfi is and also at what psi the car should normally run at. As far as I know the psi is supposed to be at 45 but its a lttle low, just a side question. The problem is obviosly electrical but what i dont understand is why when i turn the wheel it was draining the battery. WHen the problem would occur i would have a high idle and all the red lights would go on. Is it a possibility it needs a new timing belt?
  3. does ant one know also if the fan is disabled how that effects the rest of the dynamics of the car?
  4. Okay, I have a 91' Loyale and my battery was failing when I turned on the head lights and turned the wheel. So anyways I replaced the alternator and even bought a new battery in the process and once I pick the car up from the shop its still doing the same thing. I then turned on the fan and all the red lights would go on the dash so I took the fuse that is connected to the fan out of the fuse box and Shazzaam the problem was fixed. SO does anyone know what was going on and if there is still something im missing and have to deal with? I would be happy to explain any shortfalls in my explaination, thanks.
  5. I am in the process of changing a failed coil and was curious if it is a easy thing to do on my own. I am pretty inexperienced and can get someone to replace it for farly cheap but im curious regardless. Also does anyone recommend replacing my failed one with one from a scrap yard? will an ignition coil shut down the whole car if it fails?
  6. If my distributor cap, rotor and coil is freid would that at all mess up the alternator. My car is not starting and the freid coil is obviously the problem but when it was running my battery was dieing when i turn the wheel. All the red dash lights would go on as well any takes on the problem?
  7. does anyone think there is a possibility of it being a battery problem?
  8. Okay this is a hard one to explain! bear with me please. I have recently been having problems with my idle, whenever the car idle's high the battery goes out and the car dies. Before the car was only doing this when I turned the wheel all the way to the left or the right and all the red indicater lights would go on then the battery gauge whould read a lower voltage. Im thinking it possibly could be the alternater but it seems to be working fine or even a faulty battery. I recently change the alt/power steering belt thinking it would help but to no avail, any pointers. THe check engine light will also go on when the car is stoped everyonce in a while and the rpm's will go from 900 to 1000 very quickly(the car is 91 loyale).
  9. I am having the same proplem except my battery is also going out aswell any suggestions.
