My friend is looking at buying a car. Around the $10k range. She really likes the late 90's Impreza Outback Sport wagons. I have owned 3 Subaru's and they all leaked oil, amongst other things. I don't have any personal experience with these Impreza Outback Sport wagons. Any info? Thanks!

I have a 98 OBS and I love it. I had an oil leak for a couple of weeks but I replaced the timing belt and water pump along with all of the seals and it fixed it right up.

I've decided to agree with the others on this board who consider that the automatic undercaraige rust proofing and you don't even have to pay extra for it.

 

I've got an OBS with 82,000 miles and it doesn't leak oil but i'm sure it will someday they all seem to start at some point....
