Latest Headgasket 1997 2.5

Featured Replies

My 1997 Legacy GT Wagon has a possible headgasket issue. It has overheated twice now for no reason ( about two weeks apart ) and I see they have headgasket problems. Just wanted to Know if anyone has the latest info on what gaskets to use and where to get them.

Use only genuine Subaru headgaskets, they've been redesigned several times, and it appears they finally got it right (I hope). Best prices are at 1stsubaruparts.com, excellent service, too. I just got $400 in parts from them in preparation for changing my headgaskets. Now I just need some time to do the work.
