Water Sucks?? Question

Featured Replies

I got water in my distributor cap. I got it all dried out and now my brat is acting funnyg.

My question is, do you think that I will need to let things dry out or will I need to buy new cables, cap, rotor, plugs?

I am thinking the water might have messed something up. I went about a mile with my car just sputtering, before I found the water.

Vo:banghead:

Just a thought, if you got water in your distributor, maybe you got water in your air intake? Maybe you have a wet air filter?

Will give it a try, anything else I should check

I've never used wd-40, but I have always used rubbing alchohol. It does a great job of rinsing away the mineral deposits left by evaporating water.

I never had many problems with the disty on the EA-82 but the air cleaner always managed to pick up water definatly check that out, i almost got stuck in a big mud pit because of a wet air cleaner, but i got out, with the stock wheels and tires and showed the big truck with 35's in front of me what subies are made of
