RX mileage?

Featured Replies

What kind of mileage to you guys get out of your RX's? Does anyone know Subaru’s official numbers.

I get 23-27mpg, on the low side boosting at will, on the high side driving like an old lady. '87 RX all stock 288,000 miles on the clock, mostly freeway driving at 70-80mph.

BTW, I dont know the factory rating for the RX, but I have the window sticker from my '87 4WD wagon, carb, 3AT... says 22mpg hi-way. And it gets just about that, even with 230,000 on it.

22~30 mpgs for me...mostly a combined average of 24.

30mpg bigeek.gif , thats like 9 1/2 liters per 100 kilometers, thats realy damn good for an 4wd car. Was this just driving like a granny and coasting on freeways?

Still 24 or 25 mpg is realy good for a full time 4wd, I was expecting to be like 18 or 20mgp.

Thanks for the info

No, I was getting 29~31 MPG's reguarly crusing along at 75 MPH @3500 RPMs...thats about 120 KPH.
