March 4, 200521 yr hi all driving home today from the tacoma pap, filled up with gas and about halfway back the check engine light came on...pulled over and checked the code and it was a 32...now, i just changed the o2 sensor about two months ago in order to pass emissions...could it be bad again already? its a bosch o2...car runs fine...around 27-32 mpg...a little bit of hesitation or stumble when accelerating or going up hills and a little bit of a rough idle...new plugs/wires/rotor/cap...fuel filter....any ideas????
March 5, 200521 yr I don't have the answer either, but you might post which car this is for. I'm ignorant on codes and not sure if codes transcend models/years.
March 5, 200521 yr Some items to check The electrical connection You had to make some kind of connection to fit the new Bosch 02 sensor. Did you crimp the connector or solder it? The cable from the ECU has a ground shield. Make sure it is not contacting the inner wire. The ground for the 02 sensor. Exhaust systems have been known to rust. They can loose the ground connection to the frame. The 02 sensor must have a good ground path back to the ECU if it is to work properly, remember we are talking about a very small voltage. I always connect the body of the 02 sensor to the ground shield. I do this by using a heater hose clamp to clamp a piece of wire to the body of the sensor and then connect this wire to the shield on the 02 wire. Good luck I hope this helps
