Brat curb weight??

Recommended Posts

Does anyone out there know the curb weight of a brat? (Max gross weight minus max load)

We have an 88GL with the 4L feature and love it for highway and backroads. We had a 95 villager minivan a five years ago and when it got to 60K I got tired of fixing it. I took my wife out looking for a new car and was also looking for a cheap toad for my motorhome. We drove the 88GL after all the new cars(Honda CRV and Subaru outback and forrester) and she liked it better, so we bought it for next to nothing (it was over 100 degree in Las Vegas and the car didn't have AC) added AC and pocketed a lot of left over cash from selling the villager. We will keep the GL for her main car but now need a smaller lighter 4X to tow since we changed motorhomes to get away from the 7mpg problem. Our new motorhome gets up to 32mpg but is limited to what it can tow. We had no problem with towing a geo metro but when we tow the GL the exaust gets black and sooty which on a diesel means that you are not operating efficiently. I am looking for something lighter. We tried out an old samurai but that is really dropping down a lot from the GL. We thought of the BRAT an tried to find the curb weight on the internet. No luck. If someone knows or could look at the stickers on the door and calculate it I would appreciate it.
