85Sub4WD Posted March 6, 2005 Share Posted March 6, 2005 As I recall the diameter is the same for all - EA82 pistons had compression ratios 9.0:1 (carb/early MPFI N/A), 9.5:1 (SPFI/late MPFI N/A), and for turbos, 7.7:1 I think the EA81 had 8.7:1 compression Don't know about EA71 All are 3-ring slipper type - and I think all are interchangeable Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
