Dual range switch

Featured Replies

If I got a dual range tranny for an 89 wagon, would it be a straight bolt in, or would I have to do some modifications?

so you got a D/R tranny out of a car, which one BTW, and you want to put it into an 89 wagon, i think it should work fine, im pretty sure the 89's came D/R, having said that..........it will bolt up just fine, let the flamming begin!

assuming your car is already a single range 5spd, the tranny is a straight bolt on, the same flywheel, clutch parts, driveshaft will work on the new tranny, you will want the shifter console plate to go with. if your car is non turbo then everything else will stay as it is, axles and diff, but if you are going from a turbo single range then you will have to swap the front axles and rear diff
