Stops Leak for HG?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Is there such a thing? I have a leaking HG on my 1994 Legacy Wgn 2.2. So far it hasn't given me that much of a problem, but i'm wondering if there is anything available that i could use for a while?

Thanks,

Jared

"Alumiseal" is the only stuff I've seen work first hand on several different cars. However I'm still not a big fan of magical HG fixes in a bottle; they dont fix the problem just allow you to put off the unavoidable end.

If your talking external you could probably use the stuff from the external HG recall on 2.5 SOHC engines.

Internal? External? I'm not sure what the difference is, but I suspect internal...coolant contanimated with oil?

Thanks,

That's not good. You're going to have to face the inevitable and get the head gasket replaced. Do a search for head gaskets.

No, I'm facing the ineveitable and looking for a new sube...but was hoping a temporary fix would get me through a few more months.
