Driving today my tranny make a loud bang, felt it from under the car. then rmps raised to 4,000 still driving. Ultimately lost reverse, and now care just reves no go. lol. Sometimes it goes back in gear but slips under load and back to no go. Time for new or rebuit trans I think . Anyways anyhelp or just concur with what I'm already afraid of

I think that losing reverse is a good indicator of being low on Fluid. Check the Fluid directly an try to figure out where fliud is going. Thanks

Yeah...check your fluid.....does it smell burnt? What color is it?

 

More then likely your tranny is in need of some service if the fluid looks ok and is at the correct level.
